Who We Are:
Raasi Ahmar Fishing Company (RAFCO) Raasi Ahmar Fishing Company was founded and incorporated in Puntland State of Somalia in 1997 by Mr. Said Mohamed Muse, founder/CEO, who is from a long line family of fishermen and has more than 30 years of experience in the fishing industry. RAFCO has been operating in Puntland for the two decades, supplies different fish products to the local markets of Puntland State of Somalia and it has got its middle-term strategy to expand its business operations in other states of Somalia as well as establishing overseas trading relations with the relevant international trading companies in the long run. Somalia has one of the longest coastlines in mainland Africa as well as one of the best fishing grounds in the continent. We source the finest fresh fish that is captured from the Indian Ocean as well as the Red Sea. We source from both mid-water and deep-sea: therefore, we can supply a diverse range of fish which include tuna (all species), kingfish, sardines, mackerel, cattlefish, squid, shark, groupers, red snapper and many more high-quality fish species. We have a valuable base (staffed by the current team with local knowledge and contacts) on the Somali coast. Most importantly, we have access to a network of local fishing boats that land regularly and exclusively to us. This means we are able to offer you the very freshest fish straight off the boat. We have a strict focus on quality of our products and great customer service. We know the importance of supplying our customers with the right quality, right price and at the right time. We have a close and a cordial relationship with some of the East Africa’s largest logistic companies and together we offer a fast-logistic solution in order to supply our products to our target markets without a minimum delay and hassle for our customers.
